SDA: By apologizing to Čović over the Southern Interconnection, Nikšić confirmed that the interests of HDZ are more important to the Trojka than the interests of the citizens

(Patria) - Federal Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić's public admission that he apologized to HDZ BiH President Dragan Čović for adopting the Law on the Southern Gas Interconnection once again confirms that the Trojka's favor with coalition partners and embassies is much more important than the interests of the citizens, the Party of Democratic Action announced.

"The Law on the Southern Interconnection was not adopted because it is an SDA proposal, or because it is important for the United States of America, but because this Interconnection is of strategic importance for Bosnia and Herzegovina and its citizens. The Southern Interconnection reduces dependence on Russian gas, enables better supply of citizens and the economy with this energy source, and enables diversification of energy supply sources, which is an obligation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on its European path.

Apologizing to Dragan Čović, justifying it with pressure from the US Embassy, ​​even though they once claimed credit for the adoption of that Law, and after obstructing it for months, indicates the hypocrisy and wandering of the Trojka, whose citizens' interests are clearly subordinate to the need to fulfill the wishes of those who brought them to power.

Instead of the announced attempt to amend the Law on the Southern Interconnection according to the wishes of HDZ BiH, the federal government is obliged to start implementing the already adopted Law as soon as possible," stated SDA.
