SDA: DF should clarify why it refuses joint appearance in Republika Srpska entity instead of hypocritical accusations

(Patria) - DF has launched a premature campaign by spreading falsehoods about SDA and inventing events that did not happen. They missed both the target and the topic, SDA announced.

"SDA has active party bodies, and only these bodies, not any 'informal circles' or 'persons close to SDA' as DF claims, make decisions or conduct negotiations with other parties on the Election Law. There are no such talks on behalf of SDA, and no one can conduct them outside its bodies.

If DF truly has information that some 'informal circles' are conducting talks about the Election Law, then those 'circles', not SDA, are the address for their reaction.

DF is well aware of SDA's position on amendments to the Election Law. That position, which, among other things, preserves the civic principle, was decisively defended by SDA President Bakir Izetbegović during the Neum negotiations. He did it alone, without the support of left-wing parties, despite the enormous pressure from international mediators. SDA has suffered and continues to suffer consequences because of this stance, so in addition to punishing its cadres with 'blacklists' and fabricated court proceedings, it was ultimately removed from power by suspending the Constitution.

Left-wing parties, which swear by the civic principle, watched SDA's fight for the Election Law 'from the stands' during that time, falsely moralized, and frightened the public with supposed 'betrayals'. Therefore, any accusations against SDA on this topic are extremely hypocritical.

Instead of senseless accusations, it would be more appropriate for DF to explain to the patriotic part of the BiH public the reasons for the persistent and arrogant refusal to enter into a pre-election coalition with SDA and other like-minded parties on the platform of opposing the catastrophic policies of the Trojka. If such cooperation had been established, there would have been no room for spreading fabrications about any 'informal circles'. First and foremost, DF should clarify why, and in whose interest, it refuses the urgently needed joint appearance in the Republika Srpska entity," the SDA statement said.
