SDA, DF, SBiH and NES: We Call on Nedžad Koldža to Withdraw in Favor of the Patriotic Bloc Candidate Muamer Bandić

(Patria) - The parties gathered around the candidacy of Muamer Bandić for the mayor of Novo Sarajevo (SBiH, SDA, DF and NES) have shown in the campaign so far what the strength of unity means in the fight against the bad policies of the Troika at all levels of government.

They have now issued a joint statement which we transmit in full:

"The magnificent rally of support for Muamer Bandić, held in Grbavica at the Goran Čengić hall, is proof that the citizens of Novo Sarajevo are committed and determined in their intention to punish the Troika already in the local elections on October 6.

They are determined to do so because of the devastation of the Novo Sarajevo Municipality under the leadership of the Troika in the last 4 years, the Sarajevo Canton in the last 6 years, but also because of the catastrophic policies that the Troika has been implementing at the state and entity level for the last 2 years.

The choice between the two candidates of these two blocs is quite clear. On one side is Muamer Bandić, a successful lawyer who is the candidate of parties that did not agree to the suspension of the Constitution, that did not agree to the annulment of the will of only one constituent people, and that have not given up the fight for a normal civic and democratic order in our country.

On the other side is Benjamina Karić, the candidate of the Troika parties, which, for the sake of a few chairs for their presidents, have brought Bosnia and Herzegovina into a state of complete defensiveness.

Bearing in mind the fact that the party Naprijed, under the leadership of its president Mehmedović, has taken a patriotic course since its founding and has not sided with the Troika in their bad, and at times disastrous, policies for the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the fact that Nedžad Koldža, as a serious man, is aware of how things stand on the ground, we call on him, in the interest of the citizens, to personally contribute to saving the citizens of Novo Sarajevo from a potential continuation of the Troika's rule and the general frivolity that symbolizes their governance.

We call on him to withdraw from the election race in favor of the opposition parties' candidate Muamer Bandić, to act in this way in accordance with the policies of the party that nominated him, and for all of us together to start fixing everything that the Troika has destroyed in Novo Sarajevo, and in that process, through work in the Municipal Council, we will fully count on the party 'Naprijed', which would, with such a move, confirm itself as a credible and patriotic party," the statement from SDA, DF, SBiH and NES said.
