Schmidt's Weakness: Celebration of January 9 Remains Unchanged, Only the Price and Locations Change!

It should be said that January 9, 2024, will not happen in that framework and in that way. So, both state and entity holidays can be celebrated, but that can be done in another way and no one will lose their crown because of it. And I also think that in 2023, no citizen, whether living in the Republika Srpska, the Federation or the Brčko District, is interested in someone who is waging an aggressive war being viewed favorably, said, among other things, Christian Schmidt last year.

Nothing came of that. In January 2024, we saw the same January 9, like the one in 2023 (admittedly it was a bit more expensive), and we will see it in 2025 as well.

Schmidt, as in the case of state property, either will not or does not have the strength to cut through. The authorities in the BiH entity Republika Srpska mark the unconstitutional Day of the Republika on January 9, and a celebration program has been organized on that occasion.

Wreath-laying at the Monument to the Fallen Soldiers of the Army of Republika Srpska, wreath-laying at the Square of the Fallen Soldiers of the National Liberation War, wreath-laying at the Memorial Ossuary, a Ceremonial Academy on the occasion of the Day of Republika Srpska, a ceremonial reception... Wreath-laying at the Serbian Military Memorial Cemetery Novi Zejtinlik in Sokolac, a session of the Senate of Republika Srpska, a ceremonial parade - Trg Krajine, Banja Luka, and finally a concert featuring regional stars Pavlina Radovanović and Dejan Matić.

RTRS will broadcast the ceremonial parade live, in which members of the special Gendarmerie unit will parade through the streets of Banja Luka. So, exactly the same as what has been happening for years. Therefore, Schmidt should clarify how, despite the decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH and the sanctions of the USA and Great Britain due to the celebration of January 9, and his promise that it would not be the same, everything still remains unchanged. Except for the amount of funds spent on marking January 9.

Because unlike last year's million, this year the cabinet of Milorad Dodik is allocating 550,000 KM for the organization of this three-day celebration.

January 9 is in four days, and nothing indicates that High Representative Christian Schmidt will keep his promise from two years ago that the marking would not be like in 2023.

By making an announcement that he does not intend to fulfill, Schmidt has gotten himself into a story in which Milorad Dodik will appear even stronger than he is and show that Schmidt's power in the RS is essentially limited. Because no one has been prosecuted, nor will the RS authorities give up the celebration of the unconstitutional January 9.

Therefore, precisely on the issue of January 9, Schmidt most strongly shows his weakness and confirms the increasingly frequent remarks that he is only the High Representative for the Federation!

Admittedly, he is not bothered even when the president of the HDZ BiH, Dragan Čović, lays a wreath at the grave of the president of the Croatian Republic of Herzeg-Bosnia, Mate Boban, for which the Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in November 2017 established the existence of a Croatian joint criminal enterprise with the aim of ethnic cleansing of parts of BiH, so draw your own conclusions as to whose High Representative Schmidt is in BiH.
