
(Patria) - High Representative Christian Schmidt met today at Butmir Camp in Sarajevo with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
The interlocutors discussed the political and security challenges facing Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Office of the High Representative (OHR) announced.
"The visit of NATO Secretary General Rutte is an important indicator that Bosnia and Herzegovina and its institutions remain a priority for the international community.
The High Representative thanked Secretary General Rutte for confirming today once again that NATO, together with the state bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is ready to support and take the necessary steps to ensure the prosperity and progress of BiH and its citizens.
The High Representative also emphasized that attacks on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as on the functionality of its institutions, are a red line that must not be crossed.
This is of fundamental importance for maintaining the stability and security of Bosnia and Herzegovina," it was stated at today's meeting, the OHR announced.
