Schmidt sparks outrage over canceled visit to Banja Luka: He is High Representative only when forming the FBiH Government

(Patria) - Christian Schmidt's failure to visit Banja Luka, and the unconvincing explanation from the OHR that "the visit to Banja Luka was not definitively agreed upon" have caused numerous public reactions.

Many believe that the High Representative has only strengthened Milorad Dodik, the SNSD president against whom an indictment has been confirmed precisely for failing to implement the decisions of the High Representative.

Economic analyst Svetlana Cenić commented on Christian Schmidt's latest move on N1.

"What has the OHR house come to. This is not the OHR, this is a mockery, I don't know what else to call it. He is the High Representative only when it comes to forming the FBiH Government. I don't know why Dodik is then sitting with Nikšić, Forto and the Trojka, because without the High Representative, they wouldn't even theoretically be in power. And that too is a decision of the High Representative. What kind of professionalism is it if you schedule a meeting for tomorrow today? First of all, it's unprofessional. If one of our people did that to the High Representative, it would be a scandal," said Cenić.

Director Dino Mustafić also reacted on Twitter. Numerous other comments followed, including those from politicians, professors, state deputies, and federal deputies.
