(Patria) - High Representative Christian Schmidt will address the UN Security Council today and present the 69th report to the UN Secretary-General on the status of peace implementation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Office of the High Representative in BiH announced.
"This report covers the period from October 16, 2025, to April 15, 2026. The UN Security Council session begins at 4 PM Central European Time," the statement said.
We remind you that after almost five years in the position of High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a mandate established by Annex 10 of the Dayton Peace Agreement, Christian Schmidt made a personal decision to end his mandate on peace implementation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Schmidt informed the Steering Board of the Peace Implementation Council of his decision and requested that they begin the process of finding his successor, noting that he will continue to serve as High Representative while the search for his successor is ongoing.
