SBiH: Our homeland needs a decisive, state-building, and brave political force that will not make compromises on the most important issues

(Patria) - The constitutive session of the Presidency of the Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina (SBiH) was held yesterday in Sarajevo.

SBiH's commitment to a strong and organized appearance in the elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, scheduled for October 4, was confirmed.

Mirnes Gusić, Begija Smajić, and Zijad Nišić were elected as vice-presidents of the party, further strengthening the SBiH leadership ahead of the upcoming political processes and challenges.

The SBiH Presidency unanimously confirmed that the party will participate in elections at all levels of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This includes the candidacy of the party's president, Semir Efendić, for the Presidency of BiH, as well as lists for all levels of legislative power - the House of Representatives of the BiH and FBiH Parliaments, and cantonal assemblies.

Regarding political action in Republika Srpska, SBiH announced that they remain open to discussions and forming a coalition with political entities that share state-building and patriotic policies, with the exception of the SDP.

If an agreement on forming such a coalition is not reached, the Party for BiH announced that it will run independently in the elections in Republika Srpska, with its own political program and a list for the National Assembly of Republika Srpska.

The SBiH Presidency gave full support to the candidacy of Begija Smajić for the Vice-President of Republika Srpska.

The SBiH statement states that she is a recognizable political figure who served as a Member of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska from 2018 to 2022, where she consistently represented the interests of citizens and the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially returnees.

Begija Smajić lives and works with her family in Srebrenica, where she is currently a councilor in the Municipal Assembly of Srebrenica.

The Party for BiH states that Bosnia and Herzegovina today needs a decisive, state-building, and brave political force that will not make compromises when it comes to territorial integrity, constitutional order, and the state.

As they state, in a time of political blockades, economic challenges, and increasingly evident attacks on state institutions, SBiH is ready to take responsibility and unite patriotic forces in the fight for, as they announced, a stable, secure, and prosperous Bosnia and Herzegovina.
