Saudi Arabia bombs rebels in Yemen

Saudi Arabia has dispatched 100 fighter jets and 150,000 soldiers for a military operation in Yemen, Saudi television announced, and Houthi rebels announced they will not seek Iran's help, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

Although Saudi Arabia has received US support, their forces are not participating in the military attack.

In airstrikes, Houthi ammunition depots were destroyed and several of their leaders were killed, reported Al Arabiya from Dubai. According to the same source, Saudi air forces have taken control of Yemeni airspace.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar stated in a joint declaration that they have decided to act to protect Yemen from aggression.

The military attack was preceded by the capture of a military airport near Taiz, close to Yemen's largest port of Aden, by members of the Shiite Houthi militia, who are opponents of Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

Saudi Arabia will do everything to defend the Yemeni president and the legitimate government.
