Sarajevo residents without water again today, conditions at water sources are poor

The condition at the water sources is very poor from a hydrological perspective, underground reserves are still constantly decreasing and the inflow of water into reservoirs is still weak, and no improvement is expected without significant rainfall, it was announced today from the Public Utility Company Vodovod i kanalizacija Sarajevo.

For this reason, numerous Sarajevo residents will be without water on the eve of Kurban-Bajram.

- Today, in certain parts of the city, i.e., in the settlements of Podhrastovi, Sedrenik, Grdonj, Panjina kula, Breka, there will be disruptions in water supply between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. This means that in certain locations, some floors of buildings and in certain elevated parts of the mentioned settlements, there will be interruptions in water supply during the specified period. The mobile team will monitor the situation with the reserves in the reservoirs and at the main water source Sarajevsko polje today as well, and if there are any changes regarding the water supply of Sarajevo Canton, the public will be informed in a timely manner - the statement reads.

They add that during the night hours, from 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM, water is supplied under reduced pressure in the following parts of the city: from Dolac Malta to Baščaršija, Otoka, Č. Vila, Alipašino polje, Dobrinja, Saraj polje, Rajlovac, Velešići, Pofalići, Kobilja Glava, Bare-Šip, Ciglane, Koševsko brdo, streets Alipašina and Koševsko, Cicin Han and Soukbunar; Podhrastovi; Grdonj, Sedrenik, Sokolovići, Vogošća, Pogledine, Hrid, Bistrik, Mahmutovac, Turkušići, Hrasno brdo.

- Due to repair works on the water supply network, there will be disruptions in water supply in the following streets today between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM: Ejuba Ademovića, Komatin, Kasima Hadžića, Viteška, Bana Borića, Ahatovićka, Rogina, Sedrenik, Baščaršija, Bulevar Meše Selimovića, Novopazarska, Trg Solidarnosti, Čamila Sijarića, Gornji Velešići, Asima Ferhatovića, Patriotske Lige, Branislava Nušića, Aleja Bosne Srebrene, Senada Ćolića, Gaj Bedo, Tukovi, Tuzlanska.
