Sarajevo FIS: Free Recreation for Pensioners

In cooperation with the Public Institution Center for Sports and Recreation, the Centar Municipality has continued the implementation of the project „Recreation for Senior Citizens“ at the FIS sports hall in Sarajevo, reports the Patria news agency.  

Recreation sessions are held three times a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays at 2:00 PM, and on Fridays at 1:00 PM, lasting 45 minutes. 

According to project leader Adis Mušanović, the aerobic activity project for senior citizens began on April 6 and will last until the end of this year.

-We had a break during July and August due to the heat, and now we have resumed. All persons belonging to the senior citizen category who live in the area of the Centar municipality and have a doctor's certificate confirming they can engage in moderate aerobic recreation can apply, said Mušanović.

In the first part of the project, according to Mušanović, 40 people participated. Pensioners from the Centar municipality area can apply by coming to the session at the premises of the Center for Sports and Recreation on the first floor, and all information is available by phone at 033 268 – 760, announced the Centar Municipality.
