Sarajevo in Blue and Yellow: Banner on Sebilj Says 'Good Luck Dragons', City Lives for Match with Switzerland

(Patria) – Sarajevo breathes today to the rhythm of the "Dragons". A few hours before the second round match of the group stage of the World Cup between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Switzerland, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been swept by a true fan euphoria.

The streets, squares, cafes and gardens are full of citizens dressed in the jerseys of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, with flags, scarves and other fan paraphernalia. There is hardly a part of the city where the blue and yellow color cannot be seen, and it seems that today every other person proudly showed their allegiance to the team that is making history at the World Cup.

A special atmosphere prevails in the old part of the city. A banner with the message "Good Luck Dragons" appeared on the Sebilj, attracting the attention of many Sarajevans and tourists. Many stopped to photograph the symbolic message of support addressed to the selected players of Sergej Barbarez ahead of one of the most important matches of the tournament.

Fan fever can be felt at every step. Hospitality venues have been reserving spots since early morning for tonight's match viewing, while fan songs dedicated to the national team can be heard from cars and cafes.

After the draw with Canada in the first round, tonight's duel with Switzerland is of great importance for the Bosnian team, and optimism among the fans does not wane.

One thing is certain regardless of the outcome of the match, Bosnia and Herzegovina will have strong support tonight from the stands, but also from every corner of the homeland, and Sarajevo has once again shown how much it lives for its national team.
