Sarajevo Sevdah Soiree: Armin Muzaferija performing in Sarajevo after a long time

(Patria) - The Yellow Fortress will once again be filled with sevdah and emotional music tonight! As part of the magical ambiance of the "Sarajevo Sevdah Soiree" festival, musician Armin Muzaferija will take the stage from 8:30 PM to take the audience on an unforgettable musical journey. His authentic interpretation of sevdalinka, with deeply felt emotions and a powerful vocal expression, has been winning the hearts of listeners across the region for many years.

"All of us who are involved in this type of art feel an obligation to contribute to the preservation of sevdalinka and historical heritage. That's why we were very pleased when the idea of the festival began to be discussed. The organizer managed to combine three things I am passionate about, namely sevdah, Sarajevo in the summer, and the Yellow Fortress. There is no more original combination to present our sevdalinka with dear friends, many of whom have dedicated their lives to preserving sevdalinka," Muzaferija stated before the concert.

The festival organizers announced that due to the Day of Mourning in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the concert planned for tomorrow has been postponed to August 18th, when the traditional Bosnian-Herzegovinian love song will be performed by saz player Jusuf Brkić and Zanin Berbić, an ethnomusicologist and interpreter of sevdalinka, whose repertoire includes rarely sung and somewhat forgotten sevdalinka songs. Before this performance, on August 17th, "Sarajevo Sevdah Soiree" will host Mostar Sevdah Reunion, the pioneers of sevdah in the 21st century, a band whose unique performance style includes a combination of sevdalinka with jazz, blues, soul, and ethno music elements.

Tickets can be purchased at two locations: at the Yellow Fortress and at the "Summer on Vilson's" event on Vilson's Promenade, as well as through the online platform kupikartu.ba. The festival, recognized as an important new part of the city's tourist offer, is organized by U.G. ZUP Baščaršija and the Tourist Board of Sarajevo Canton.
