Sarajevo has a new coach: I believe I can defend the championship title at Koševо

(Patria) - Vinko Marinović is the new coach of FK Sarajevo. Marinović reached an agreement with the management of the "Bordo" club today and agreed on a two-and-a-half-year cooperation.

"I think that everything is going in a normal direction as far as I'm concerned. Borac, Zrinjski, the U-21 team, Sarajevo. I regret having to leave the position of coach of the U-21 team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but I know that two important jobs cannot be done simultaneously. I also had an offer to work as an assistant to Duško Bajević, but I declined.

Even if I had accepted that, I would still have had to leave the position of head of the U-21 team. Now I am fully focused on the challenges on the bench of the team from Koševо. I believe that together with my associates at Koševо, I can defend the championship title. It won't be easy at all. Željezničar, Borac, and an strengthened Zrinjski are there. What is important to me is that I know the Sarajevo players very well, so I won't need time to get to know them, and I know the league very well," Vinko Marinović told Sportdc.
