Sarajevo: Night reductions continue, where water will be cut off today due to works

Water supply in Sarajevo is gradually normalizing during daytime hours. The situation at the sources in hydrological terms is very poor, underground accumulations are still in constant decline and the inflow of water into reservoirs remains weak, so no improvement is expected without more abundant rainfall, reports the Patria news agency.  

Today, in the settlements of Podhrastovi, Sedrenik, Grdonj, and Panjina kula, there will be disruptions in water supply from 11:00 to 15:00.

This means that at certain locations, some floors of buildings and specific elevated parts of the mentioned settlements will experience water supply interruptions during the stated period.

In the rest of the Sarajevo Canton, we expect water supply during daytime hours to be regular, and if there are no unforeseen situations such as turbidity at the sources or a possible failure of pump units at the main source Bačevo, or a major breakdown on the water supply network, as was the case on September 18/19, 2015, we expect it to be regular.

This primarily refers to the Peračko vrelo source, which supplies the municipality of Vogošća and part of the Kobilja glava reservoir zone. A mobile team will monitor the condition of the accumulations in the reservoirs and at the main source Sarajevo polje throughout the day, and if any changes occur regarding the water supply of the Sarajevo Canton, the public and media will be informed in a timely manner.

During the night hours, from 23:00 to 06:00, water delivery is carried out under reduced pressure in the following parts of the city: from Dolac Malta to Baščaršija, Otoka, Č. Vila, Alipašino polje, Dobrinja, Saraj polje, Rajlovac, Velešići, Pofalići, Kobilja Glava, Bare-Šip, Ciglane, Koševsko brdo, Alipašina and Koševo streets, Cicin Han and Soukbunar; Podhrastovi; Grdonj, Sedrenik, Sokolovići, Vogošća, Pogledine, Hrid, Bistrik, Mahmutovac, Turkušići, Hrasno brdo.

Due to repair works on the water supply network, today from 09:00 to 16:00, there will be disruptions in water supply in the following streets: Turbe, Pogledine, Avde Smajilagića, Reisa Fehima Spahe, Isaka Samokovlije, Bjelougovička, Hamida Beširevića, Hakije Kulenovića, Sedrenik, Hotonj IV, Krivoglavci, Kobilja Glava, Mustafe Muje Pašića, Tuzlanska, Hekim Ogul Paše, Hrasnička cesta, Kamenolom, Čolakovića kula, Hifvzi Bjelavca and Trešnje, announced by the Water Supply Company.
