Sarajevo hosts Željezničar in the 150th jubilee derby

(Patria) - The 150th jubilee derby between eternal rivals FK Sarajevo and FK Željezničar will be played at the Asim Ferhatović Hase stadium starting at 8:30 PM.

When it comes to statistics, the team from Grbavica has 46 wins, and Sarajevo has two fewer, while 59 mutual encounters ended without a winner.

Fans of both teams will create a great atmosphere tonight.

The coach of the Blues, Nermin Bašić, said that emotions must not get into the "fight".

"You cannot let emotions sweep aside the strategy for that derby. You cannot expect all your coaching ideas to be implemented in the derby, but you must implement at least some basic ones. We all know how much player turnover there has been in Sarajevo in recent years; I think they have finally sorted things out. I am glad they brought in a coach from Slovenia, who is an excellent professional. For all they have invested so far, they have only scored one more goal than Željo. It's not all about money. We have our desires too, we know we can, and we will see where Sarajevo ends up and where Željo ends up. Logically, they are playing at Koševo, and they are the favorites. I agree that we have a problem with away games, but I don't think the derby is such a game; it's not a typical away match," said Bašić.

Sarajevo's coach, Simon Rožman, said he expects the opponent to be maximally energetically motivated.

"And I like that because I want my players to be maximally motivated in every training session and match. You are already used to how we play; we want to be dominant in every minute of the match and have control over everything that happens. We want to be aggressive and high up, bringing the content closer to what awaits us in Europe. We are improving physically; generally, what we said is our model of play, and it doesn't matter who is on the other side," said Rožman.
