Patria collaborator Kenan Hodžić first BiH recipient of European grant in energy security

(Patria) - Within the framework of a programme jointly implemented by the European University Institute (EUI) and the International Visegrad Fund, researchers from the European continent are given the opportunity to research topics of European integration at the Historical Archives of the European Union (HAEU) in Florence.

In this regard, the first phase of research by senior assistant at the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies, Dr. Kenan Hodžić, the first recipient of a grant of this format from Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the topic "Perspectives of energy security in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region: European integration and energy policy creation" has been realised.

Hodžić is also a member of the Political Council of the Association "Čuvari Bosne" and a collaborator of the News Agency Patria (NAP).

The research included an analysis of the role of energy security in the process of European integration, with a special emphasis on infrastructural vulnerabilities, the impact of European Union policies on the energy sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the significance of external actors in shaping long-term strategies.

Special attention was paid to contemporary challenges, and a research grant of this type enabled unique access to relevant archival sources and the exchange of experiences with the international academic community, thereby further deepening the understanding of the connection between European integration in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Western Balkans region.
