(Patria) - An event titled "And They Were Only Children" was held at the Memorial to the Murdered Children of Besieged Sarajevo 1992-1995, on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance for the Murdered Children of Sarajevo and the Day of Victory over Fascism.
Several hundred students from Sarajevo primary and secondary schools paid tribute to the murdered children of besieged Sarajevo. Singing the song "Let There Be No War," they remembered 1,601 innocent children.
Most were crying, even the students themselves.
They also performed the song in sign language, so that their peers, as well as adults who cannot hear, would understand this powerful message.
