Salkić called on Schmidt and Kajganić to ban the celebration of January 9

(Patria) - MP in the National Assembly of the RS, Ramiz Salkić, stated today, reacting to the preparations and announced celebration of January 9 as RS Day, that this represents a continuation of the violation of the Dayton Peace Agreement and the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This is a direct call to High Representative Schmidt, but also to the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to oppose the violation of the Dayton Peace Agreement, the Constitution, and the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Does anyone remember Schmidt's statement that there would be no celebration of January 9? Is the silence of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by Kajganić, regarding the disregard for the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina surprising?

Both are called upon to react. The first as the supreme interpreter of the Dayton Peace Agreement, under which the decisions of the Constitutional Court are final and binding.

The second, according to the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the force of the law which he should protect and implement 'without fear or favor,' but as it is written, whether you like it or not.

The disenfranchised and systematically discriminated Bosniaks in this entity are further disturbed by the celebration of January 9, returning to the traumas caused by January 9, 1992, and the decisions made then, expecting a reaction from the authorities, although they are not sure it will happen based on past experiences.

Obviously, in this case, force and legal violence are more respected than the Dayton Peace Agreement, the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It is high time that the High Representative and the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina stop the legal violence and the celebration of a date that deeply offends all victims of terror, persecution, war crimes, and genocide in this entity.

If this does not happen, the government of the Bosnian Serbs in this entity, led by the President of the RS entity, Milorad Dodik, will continue to radicalize society, spreading intolerance towards Bosniaks and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will inevitably cause new attacks on Bosniaks and their property with unforeseeable consequences for peace and stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the future.

Therefore, the direct responsibility lies with the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the High Representative to react and prevent further radicalization of society and intolerance towards Bosniaks in this entity - Ramiz Salkić concluded.
