(Patria) - The beauty of Foča, Aladža Mosque, will be reopened for believers today, after it was demolished by Serb aggressors 27 years ago. The program of the ceremonial opening of the rebuilt Aladža Mosque in Foča began with the recitation of the Quran by hafiz Nisveta ef. Omerdić. Several thousand believers from all over BiH, high-ranking domestic and international officials, and representatives of Turkey and the USA, countries that helped and financed the construction of this religious building, are attending.

Numerous citizens arrived from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina to Foča to attend the opening of the Aladža Mosque. The tears of many, upon seeing this magnificent building after more than two decades, testify to the strong emotions.

The Vice-President of Republika Srpska, Ramiz Salkić, stated that the rebuilt Aladža is a boost for coexistence in this part of BiH, from which everyone will benefit.

"I am convinced that the entire BiH will benefit from the rebuilt Aladža, not only for citizens who practice Islam, but I believe that Aladža will be a magnet for all tourists in this country, and that all citizens will benefit from it," said Salkić.
