Šaljić: The Memorial Fund's lily logo will not, cannot, and must not be replaced by anyone - that person hasn't been born yet!

(Patria) - Since last night, I have been receiving messages that the Memorial Fund has removed the lily and introduced a new logo. I am trembling as I write this, stated Jasmin Šaljić, a representative of the Party for BiH in the Sarajevo Canton Assembly.

"Our best sons gave their lives wearing insignia with lilies on their shoulders and chests. This lily logo will not, cannot, and must not be replaced by anyone, that person hasn't been born yet! As a representative in the Sarajevo Canton Assembly and a member of the Veterans' Affairs Committee and the Committee for the Preservation and Cultivation of Historical Events, and as a member of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, I call on the Director of the Memorial Fund, Ahmed Kulanić, to immediately issue an official statement!", says Šaljić.

Šaljić demands that Kulanić either confirm or deny this information publicly!

"If the information is true, he should resign along with the Supervisory Board. Because that would be the least damage compared to the anger of the citizens who defended this country. Until Director Kulanić officially makes a statement, confirms or denies this disturbing information, I call on Faruk Kapidžić to convene an extraordinary session of the Veterans' Affairs Committee in the Sarajevo Canton Assembly and to send an invitation to the Coordination of Veterans' Associations of Sarajevo Canton, the Golden Lilies Association, and the Association of Fallen Soldiers of the Army and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of BiH, in order to make certain decisions", Šaljić conveys.

Šaljić concludes: "Surely the fighters who brought us freedom and the founder of the Fund, which is the Sarajevo Canton Assembly, have a say in this too."
