Salihović: I am glad to be back in the national team

After almost two years, Sejad Salihović is once again on the list of the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, writes the Patria agency.

- I always said that I wasn't done with the national team and I am glad to be here. It is normal in football for players to change, some leave, others come, but there are still those here with whom I played. There isn't a big difference in approach and atmosphere compared to the period when I was a regular.

Salihović expects a tough match, but emphasizes that everything is in our hands.

- We know it will be a tough match. It's our last chance to be second and it's good that everything depends on us again. Anything is possible in football, every match is important, and anyone can beat anyone. We are playing at home, which is our advantage. We need to go out on the field, fight, and with the support of the fans, I believe we can achieve a result that suits us.

Support from the stands is very important, Salihović believes.

- We know very well what kind of fans we have. They are always with us and I think we, as a team, must give our all on the field, and they will know how to reward that best. The chance is there and we must seize it.

Sejad Salihović has already had the opportunity to play at Grbavica.

- I have played at Grbavica several times and I can say that the atmosphere will be great for both us and the fans. I felt good and it's good that besides Zenica, we have another stadium where we can play. I think this was a good decision - Salihović stated for the official website of the BiH FA.
