US lifts sanctions on Integral Inženjering company and its late owner Slobodan Stanković

(Patria) - The US Department of the Treasury has lifted sanctions on the company Integral Inženjering from RS.

The information was published by OFAC.

Namely, as stated, sanctions have also been lifted on Slobodan Stanković, the director of this company who has passed away.

Stanković was added to the sanctions list by the US Department of the Treasury on October 3, 2022.

He was the long-time owner of the construction company Integral Inženjering A.D. Laktaši.

As explained, the reason Stanković and his company were placed on the “blacklist” was suspicions of involvement in corruption in the construction sector, where Integral was awarded some of the largest projects in RS.

“Large construction projects were often awarded to Stanković without fair and open competition. Most of Stanković's wealth comes from public funds,” the US Department of the Treasury stated in October.

The company Integral Inženjering, besides Banja Luka, has branches in Serbia and Croatia.

One of the latest projects where it was involved as a contractor is the construction of a highway section from Bijeljina, in northeastern Bosnia and Herzegovina, to the border with Serbia.

He passed away in Banja Luka on February 7, 2023, at the age of 74.
