(Patria) – The United States on Friday became the epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic with 100,040 confirmed cases.
Italy follows with 86,498 cases, then China, where 81,340 residents have been infected with the virus.
The US House of Representatives and the Senate on Friday almost unanimously approved a financial aid package in the amount of $2.2 trillion, which will be directed towards helping the national economy threatened by the pandemic.
President Trump immediately signed the document, putting the new law into effect.
Part of the package will be directed towards the healthcare system fighting the epidemic in the US.
