SABNOR in BiH calls for greater state engagement in resolving the crisis in Palestine

(Patria) - Following the events in Palestine with concern, but also with enormous moral credit, the Alliance of Anti-fascists and Fighters of the National Liberation War in Bosnia and Herzegovina addressed the Presidency of BiH and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH with a request for stronger involvement of our country in efforts to immediately stop the killing, destruction, and persecution of an entire people.

The request states:

"The Alliance of Anti-fascists and Fighters of the National Liberation War of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SABNOR BiH) strongly condemns the continuation of the bloody retaliation that Israel is carrying out against the innocent Palestinian population in Gaza.

Starting from the fundamental values and principles of its anti-fascist activities, SABNOR BiH reminds of the obligations that Bosnia and Herzegovina, as a full member of the United Nations, has undertaken by acceding to numerous international legal instruments, especially those relating to fundamental human rights and freedoms. This obliges our country to consistently oppose all forms of fascism that are growing in today's world, and which are very much at play in the Middle East and in Gaza.

SABNOR BiH insists that Bosnia and Herzegovina actively engage to ensure that the United Nations and the Security Council consistently respect their instruments and finally switch from the language of force to the language of law. An immediate cessation of Israel's armed actions in Gaza, which have genocidal goals, is imperative, as is the establishment of dialogue under the auspices of the United Nations to achieve a just solution to the long-standing Middle East crisis on the Palestine-Israel track."
