SABNOR BiH: We call on citizens to strongly oppose fascism, no one has the right to remain silent about the fascisation of BiH society

(Patria) - Following the shameful decision of the Republika Srpska police from Mrkonjić Grad to ban the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the First Session of ZAVNOBiH in that city, we express our strongest disapproval of it, because the stated reason of inability to guarantee security is fabricated and is exclusively a political decision, according to the reaction of SABNOR BiH.

"About fifteen days ago, the president of that entity hinted at such a possibility, writing with unbelievable disdain about this significant historical event, but also insulting all those who respect the historical facts of this country. After his writings about ZAVNOBiH, followers of such politics, like parrots, emerged, repeating the same theses. At the same time, it should be said that whoever bans the commemoration of the anti-fascist heritage of this country has by that act chosen the other side and placed themselves on the side of fascism. No one in this country has the right to remain silent about such a choice, no one has the right not to react, no one has the right not to act.

Are these the moves of a scared, lost, and desperate man, but they are also moves that can cause serious consequences, because he is losing, and a losing and lost man can do a lot of harm.

Due to the seriousness of the situation, due to the increased fascisation of the society we live in, we demand that all state bodies hold sessions as a matter of urgency and as soon as possible to discuss the fascisation of Bosnian-Herzegovinian society and the state's response to these phenomena.

We anti-fascists want an anti-fascist society of the 21st century, not a return to the distant past through the revision of history. We will also seek certain measures through our European and world association against the bearers of such policies in our country.

At the same time, we call on the citizens of this country to be brave and raise their voices. There are many more of us than them, but we are silent. Enough is enough, we must oppose them while there is still time. Our rebellion today must have the determination of the insurgents of 1941, but also the vision of the councilors of ZAVNOBiH from 1943 and 1944. In short, it is up to us," states SABNOR.
