Šabeta: The arrival of Wings is a chance for BiH companies

As reported by the BiH news agency Patria, the largest producer of hygiene products from Indonesia  "Sayap Mas Utama", operating under the brand "Wings" with headquarters in Jakarta, is interested in investing in Bosnia and Herzegovina. BiH Ambassador in Jakarta Fuad Šabeta held a meeting with representatives of the company "Wings".

- The representatives of the WINGS company who were present at the meeting showed commendable knowledge about Bosnia and Herzegovina and the entire region. Given that this is a large company that has been expanding its business in recent years, primarily to the Asian market so far, with the aim of expanding the company's business to the European market in the future. The meeting concluded with the decision to provide data in the coming period about companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina that are interested in cooperation with WINGS or companies with the same scope of activity that are in the privatization phase - states Šabeta for NAP.

This company is interested in cooperation and potential acquisition of a majority stake in companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of chemical production (soaps, cleaning agents, and all care products), as well as factories involved in food production.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH sent a letter to the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH on March 4th, informing economic entities in our country about cooperation with the WINGS company. As Šabeta emphasized, data on interested companies are being collected, and during the next week, they should have another meeting and introduce WINGS representatives to potential partners and await possible decisions from the company's management to begin a more serious investigation of the possibilities of BiH companies that show interest.

We remind you that the owner of this company is the Indonesian billionaire Eddy William Katuari, who is on the Forbes list of the richest Indonesians. His wealth is estimated at over 1.5 billion dollars. He took over the company in 2004 from his father, who was a co-founder.
