Sabalenka and Zheng in Australian Open final

(Patria) - The finalists of the Australian Open are known - it will be Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka and Chinese Qinwen Zheng.

Sabalenka defeated American Coco Gauff today in the semi-finals with 7-6 (2), 6-4, while Zheng was better than Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska with 6-4, 6-4.

The match between Sabalenka and Gauff was actually a duel between the defending champion of the Australian Open and the winner of last year's US Open.

Sabalenka won her first and only Grand Slam title in her career in Australia last year.

On the other hand, reaching the Australian Open final is by far the best result in the career of the 12th seed Qinwen Zheng.

So far, her best performance at a Grand Slam was last year at the US Open (quarter-finals), when she was eliminated by Sabalenka.
