Council of Ministers confirmed with 26 votes, solemn oath taken

15:49 the debate was concluded, and the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina called on all ministers and deputies in the new convocation of the Council of Ministers to come forward. After the vote, the decision on the appointment of the Council of Ministers was confirmed with 26 votes in favor, seven against (SBB and SDP), and one abstention (HDZ 1990).

The third urgent session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina has begun, which is also attended by the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mladen Ivanić, reports a reporter from the Bosnian news agency Patria.

34 deputies are attending the session.

The agenda has only one item, which is the confirmation of the appointment of ministers, deputy ministers, and deputy chairmen of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Denis Zvizdić, Chairman of the Council of Ministers, reads the decision and the names of ministers and deputies. The deputy chairmen of Zvizdić will be Vjekoslav Bevanda and Mirko Šarović.

Zvizdić did not read the name of the deputy minister of transport and communications, Saša Dalipagić, as the checks for him have not yet been completed.

Zaim Backović, a deputy of BPS, said he has several dilemmas, one of which is that there are less than 10% women in the Council of Ministers.

- It is very important to say here that, except for the application of Semiha Borovac, which was well done, the others were done dryly. But that is not a problem. It would be necessary, given that Denis Zvizdić presented his exposé, that the Council of Ministers will create a work program very soon after the exposé - said Backović.

Saša Magazinović from SDP said he is glad that they are finally in a position to confirm the Council of Ministers.

- But we have a violation of human rights, because we do not have others. This is an ugly message to all citizens who declare themselves in this way. It started very ugly. My wish is for this to be a successful government, but the beginning does not say so.

Mirsad Đonlagić from SBB said that this session was convened contrary to the rules of procedure, but all of this reflects the past six months behind us.

- In the past months, the parliamentary majority has only fiercely fought for chairs. SBB will not support this convocation, but we will be a fierce critic - he said.

Denis Bećirović (SDP) said that this government will get a chance, but he has several questions.

- First is the competence of the candidates, which is varied. Second, when it comes to the program, this Council of Ministers does not have a clear program of what to do in the first hundred days, etc. Are we late compared to the elections? The truth is that it is better compared to 2010. Lastly, there is no regional representation, because I do not believe that Tuzla has no experts. Also, we are electing the Council of Ministers without others, and that is not a good message - he said.

Deputies are mostly discussing the participation of women in the Council of Ministers, as well as the fact that there is no one from the ranks of others.

Aleksandra Pandurević (SDS) said she would not say that others were always in the Council of Ministers before.

- I will remind you that Sven Alkalaj at sessions asked for his vote to be counted as Bosniak, and later it was determined that he also has Croatian citizenship - said Pandurević.
