Football Club Sarajevo has added a new name to its roster. Twenty-one-year-old midfielder Edin Rustemović signed a four-year contract today at the club's premises, becoming the first reinforcement of the Bordo club for the spring part of the season, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.
After signing the contract, the new number four of Football Club Sarajevo, Edin Rustemović, addressed the journalists, saying that he is aware that he is joining the biggest club in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- First of all, I want to thank Football Club Sarajevo for the trust shown. I am aware that I am coming to the biggest club in our country. Through my work and performances, I will try to convince the club officials that they have not made a mistake - Rustemović said.
The club's sports director, Abdulah Ibraković, said that interest in Rustemović has existed for some time.
- We have been following Rustemović for a longer period. He is a young player who covers several positions in midfield well, and we believe he can help us achieve our goals - Ibraković said.
Rustemović joins Sarajevo from Drina Zvornik, where he had an excellent half-season, scoring five goals. In addition to his attacking output, Edin also recorded five assists. Before Drina, he also wore the jerseys of Sinđelić and OFK Belgrade.
