Term limits for managers, halt to hiring in state-owned companies

The Government of the Federation of BiH, at today's session in Sarajevo, tasked the Federal Ministry of Justice to propose amendments to the Law on Civil Service in the FBiH within a maximum of 30 days, which will limit the tenure of civil servants in management positions to a specific period, reports the Patria News Agency.  

All federal ministries have also been tasked to propose amendments to the law to the FBiH Government, so that the tenure of managers in federal administrations and federal administrative organizations, where their mandates are not limited, will also be time-limited.

The Government also adopted a conclusion tasking institutions of the Federation of BiH established by the Federation of BiH, which exercise public authority and have legal personality, public enterprises, and other business companies with majority state capital, to immediately suspend employee recruitment procedures.

This conclusion is in line with the exposé of the Prime Minister of the FBiH presented in the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament during the confirmation of the Government's appointment, it was announced from the Information Office of the Government of the FBiH.
