(Patria) - The European Handball Federation (EHF) has published the latest ranking list on which the BiH national team is in 22nd place with 84 points, the same as Greece in 21st, and Slovakia and Belgium in 23rd and 24th place, respectively.
The ranking list was formed based on the results from the last three major competitions - EHF Euro 2022, World Championship 2023, and EHF Euro 2024.
The EHF announced that this placement will be the basis for determining the pots in the qualifiers for the 2026 European Championship, which means that BiH will be in the third pot. Our team missed the chance to be in the second pot by just one position.
World champion Denmark remains first on the list, while second-placed France is the team that recently became European champion.
Sweden holds third place, and the Top 10 is completed by Germany, Spain, Norway, Hungary, Iceland, Croatia, and Slovenia.
The Faroe Islands made the biggest progress on the EHF list - jumping ten positions. The debutant at the recent European Championship has reached 20th place.
