Handball Dragons beat Finland and continue marching towards the European Championship

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Bosnia and Herzegovina handball team defeated Finland away today 30:26, in the third round of the second phase of qualifications for the European Championship.

Nikola Prce was the man of the match with 10 goals, while Benjamin Burić made a huge contribution with 14 saves. Marko Panić also stood out with seven goals.

The next match against the same opponent is scheduled for Sunday in Tuzla. In case of a victory, the Handball Dragons would take a big step towards qualifying for the European Championship, which would be for the first time.

At the 2020 European Championship, 24 teams will compete for the first time. Hosts Austria, Norway and Sweden, as well as Spain as the reigning champion, have already secured their spots.

Through the qualifiers, 20 teams that finish first and second in their group, as well as the best third-placed team, will secure their path to the championship.

After three rounds played, Bosnia and Herzegovina is in third place in the group and is currently the best third-placed team. In our group, three teams currently have the same number of points, so the fate of qualification is in the hands of the players selected by Bilal Šuman.
