The Bosnia and Herzegovina handball team has begun preparations for the upcoming qualifying matches against Finland, Patria reports.
Our best handball players gathered last night at the Hills Hotel in Ilidža, and will travel to Finland tomorrow, where they will play the first match against the hosts the day after tomorrow.
After returning from Finland, the national team will face the same opponent on Sunday in Goražde.
Coach Bilal Šuman will be without three regular players for these two very important matches: Dejan Malinović, Faruk Vražalić and Tomislav Nuić.
Although we will be weakened against Finland, the players are confident of success, as only victories in both matches keep our selection in contention for qualification for the European Championship, which will be held next year in Croatia.
After two rounds played, Spain leads our group with four points, Finland and Austria have two points each, while our team has no points.
The two top-placed teams from the group will qualify for the European Championship.
