Bosnia and Herzegovina handball team will not play in the World Championship playoffs

BiH, (Patria) - The European Handball Federation has decided that the Bosnia and Herzegovina handball team will not play in the playoffs for the World Handball Championship. The decision was made after an appeal by the Swiss team.

Bosnia and Herzegovina player Tomislav Nuić was listed among the scorers during the match against Switzerland in Tuzla in mid-January. It was later established that Nuić was not on the main player list. This oversight was made by the match delegate, Slovenian Darko Repenšek, who admitted the mistake.

In that match, Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated Switzerland 21:15, but the result will be annulled in favor of Switzerland.

The Swiss requested that the result achieved on the field be disregarded, regardless of the fact that Bosnia and Herzegovina was not at fault for the oversight.
