ST. GALLEN, (Patria) - The Bosnia and Herzegovina national handball team celebrated a victory against Switzerland in St. Gallen with a score of 24:21, coming one round before the end of the qualifiers one step away from a spot in the playoffs for the 2019 World Championship.
Although weakened by the absence of three regular players, Nikola Prce, Senjamin Burić and Ivan Karačić, the players selected by coach Bilal Šuman played a good match and celebrated a big victory.
In the first half, our team made quite a few mistakes, but in the second part of the match they played an almost perfect game.
Our excellent goalkeeper Benjamin Burić saved almost everything the Swiss sent towards our goal, while in attack Tarabochia, Vegar, Panić scored from all positions.
The top scorer of our team in tonight's victory was Marin Vegar with six goals.
In three days, the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team plays in Tuzla against Switzerland, and a draw is enough for a spot in the playoffs.
