Miners of the Stranjani pit of the Zenica Brown Coal Mine (RMU) emerged from the pit and blocked its entrance. While they were in the pit, they demanded that someone from the mine management and Elektroprivreda BiH address them, confirmed the president of the Zenica Mine union, Mehmed Oruč, writes the Patria news agency.
The director of RMU Zenica, Esad Čivić, also arrived in front of the pit. A meeting is underway in the Administration where the miners presented their five demands and gave a five-day deadline for their fulfillment, otherwise, on the sixth day, they will go on strike and will not leave the pit.
The miners are complaining about working conditions.
