SARAJEVO, (Patria) - American tennis player Noah Rubin hopes that the sport will hit rock bottom, due to the emerging problems he allegedly warned about earlier.
Tennis was halted before the Masters in Indian Wells, and the season will not continue before July 13.
"It's hard to say something like that, but I hope tennis hits rock bottom. I hope so because I spoke with ATP and WTA officials earlier and there was no seriousness about changing tennis. So I hope this will be a signal that tells them, 'Hey, we are in trouble'," said Noah and added:
"I spoke with friends and they told me that in the next two, three, four months, it will be questionable how they will pay their debts. If we say we can't help a player ranked 150th in the world, then we come to problems like this. Surely there is something wrong with this sport or the organization itself," CdM reports.
Noah is currently the 225th player on the ATP list, and in his career so far, he has earned slightly more than $750,000.
