Hearing in the Lukač case not held, politics wanting him at the head of FUP spares no effort!

The hearing at the Municipal Court in Sarajevo today was not held regarding Dragan Lukač's lawsuit against the FBiH Government, because it refused to appoint him to the position of FUP director, writes the Patria news agency.

As we previously wrote, judge Aida Hasić is on sick leave and was unable to attend today's hearing, which was scheduled for 2:30 PM.

Amra Hodžić, spokesperson for the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, told Patria that she does not yet know when the judge will return from sick leave.

- It is best to contact us on Friday or early next week, and we will see when the judge returns from sick leave and when a new hearing will be scheduled – says Hodžić.

Otherwise, it is generally known that Dragan Lukač meets all the conditions for retirement at the end of this month, so the reason why Aljoša Čampara, the Minister of Internal Affairs of FBiH, is so insistent on Lukač being appointed director is unknown.

Fadil Novalić, the Prime Minister of FBiH, also revoked the power of attorney of the lawyer who represented the FBiH Government in the dispute against Lukač, and another has not been engaged. It is currently uncertain what the Court's decision will be, but if a representative of the FBiH Government does not appear at the hearing, the verdict will be clear.

However, all decisions will be reviewed by the Security Commission of the Federal Parliament, with a special emphasis on the behavior of the Independent Board and its president Sead Selaman, who ignored the findings of the FBiH Legislative Office and, despite all the evidence that he met the conditions for retirement and that the tender procedure had to be conducted according to the new Law on Internal Affairs, still appointed Lukač to the position of FUP director.
