'Fish Tail' is a mountain peak in Nepal where climbing is forbidden

Machhapuchhare, translated as "Fish Tail", is a 6,993-meter-high mountain, a jewel in the Annapurna range, which includes three of the ten highest peaks in the world, writes Punkufer.

Just like the shots of the "fish tail" that burst from Sarangkot or Astam around the Pokhara Valley. One of the best and closest views can be absorbed at the base of the smaller Mardi Himal peak below Machhapuchhare.

To get there, a 40-kilometer and 4,500-meter journey awaits you, and if you climb another thousand meters, you will get as close as you can to the "forbidden" peak.

The Virgin Peak, like the mountain itself, is considered sacred and should not be explored with soles, but with eyes. The local population is aware of the mountain's beauty and fully agrees with this decision.
