(Patria) - Due to a significantly increased number of patients with severe forms of acute viral respiratory infections, the intrahospital infection commission of the General Hospital "Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš" Sarajevo is introducing additional stricter temporary measures of a complete ban on patient visits.
Personal belongings for patients, marked with first and last name and department, can be left at the reception desk of the visitor entrance on the ground floor of the hospital from 12:00 to 15:00.
It is recommended to deliver only essential items, as the hospital is not responsible for any loss of personal belongings, the General Hospital stated.
For patients in the Garrison, items are delivered during the same period in the Garrison building. An exception applies to patients hospitalized in intensive care units, where visits may be allowed only with prior approval from the department head and strict adherence to all applicable epidemiological measures.
These measures are introduced to prevent and curb the spread of respiratory infections, and to protect the health of patients, visitors, and medical staff.
The epidemiological situation is continuously monitored, and measures will be adjusted according to its development, about which the public will be informed in a timely manner, added the General Hospital.
