Bosnia and Herzegovina's homeless football team defeated Norway

The BiH homeless football team defeated Norway 11:2 in their first match at the World Cup.

- Our guys played great. The result speaks for itself. The guys were a bit nervous before the match because the first one is the hardest, now it's much easier. We also had support from the stands, where there were a few of our fans from BiH, but others supported us too, primarily Bulgarians and Slovenians - said Elmedin Škrebo, team leader and project manager of MFS – EMMAUS, under whose organization our national team is participating in the World Cup again.

On Monday, July 11, the BiH national team plays against hosts Scotland at 1:00 PM on the central field. On the same day, we also play against Hong Kong at 5:00 PM on field no. 3. On the third day of the competition, we play against Grenada at 1:00 PM on field no. 2, and against Egypt at 5:00 PM also on field no. 2", said Elmedin Škrebo, team leader and project manager of MFS – EMMAUS, under whose organization our national team is participating in the World Cup again.

The BiH national team arrived in Glasgow on Friday for the 14th Homeless World Cup 2016, which is being held from July 10 to 16 in Scotland.

This year, in addition to MFS – EMMAUS, the trip and participation were supported primarily by the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, the mayor of Gračanica Nusret Helić, the mayor of Doboj Obren Petrović, the mayor of Lukavac Dževad Mujkić, the Football Association of BiH, PZU pharmacies La Vita, the Pomozi.ba Association, and the companies Remont-Zanat, Euro-Vez, and Oaza from Tešanj.
