The BiH national team of homeless footballers, with two victories yesterday and first place in Group A, advanced to the second group stage of the competition at the 14th World Cup for Homeless Footballers in Glasgow. Our guys yesterday defeated Grenada 6:2, and Egypt 5:4, and the match against Egypt was a direct clash for first place in the group, as the Egyptians only needed one point.
The second group stage of the competition is next, with 4 groups of 6 teams each, and again it will be a round-robin system within the group. The groups are formed according to the established scheme - two first-placed + two second-placed + two third-placed teams from different groups.
Upon completion of the second group stage, the top two teams from each of the 4 groups, a total of 8, will play for the championship in a quarter-final, semi-final, and final system.
The BH. National Team is again in Group A with Poland, Russia, Lithuania, Italy, and Namibia. Today (Wednesday) we play three matches, first against Russia at 11:10 AM on field 1, against Poland at 3:10 PM on field 3, and against Lithuania at 7:10 PM on field 2.
