Reisul-ulema in Bijeljina: Let's unite forces for the good of the entire country

(Patria) - The Reisul-ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein-ef. Kavazović, in Bijeljina, called for the unification of forces of all good people for the good of the entire country.

The renovated Ahmed-aga Krpić mosque in Bijeljina was officially opened today.
Addressing the large number of attendees, the Reisul-ulema said that every mosque that was "destroyed by evil people in the last assault on our country and our people, and which we have rebuilt, straightened, and returned to its purpose - fills us with pride and faith in our own abilities and self-awareness".

"This is the second renovated mosque in this city, and in the coming period
we will renovate the remaining ones, God willing. Thus, we are slowly completing the construction of all destroyed mosques in our country. I pray to Almighty God that they will never be destroyed or desecrated again, but that they will stand upright forever and bear witness to us, our presence, and our values - shoulder to shoulder with the places of worship of other religious communities," stated the Reisul-ulema.

He added that this is "the nature of our country, our dear Bosnia, and it can only function well and be a mother to all its sons and daughters, and provide them with motherly love".

"Any appropriation or seizure of it for oneself is actually violence against it,
its being, and a misfortune for all of us, its children. I hope this will no longer happen and that we will all equally care for our mother and show her love," emphasized the Reisul-ulema.

He also spoke about what bringing another mosque to life means, reminding that mosques and temples are "God's houses" on Earth and that their task is to keep people connected to their Lord, to maintain that sacred connection, to build people and develop the positive potentials they carry within them; to educate them on the principles of high morality.

"In a word: to build good people, good neighbors and friends of people,
animals and plants. So, who is bothered by mosques and temples, who destroys them?! Undoubtedly, they are destroyed by people with darkened minds, who, due to their hatred and darkness, do not see goodness, do not recognize jewels, do not notice the shine. Because those who are raised by a mosque are true jewels, ornaments of the human species, the best creatures. It is precisely the mosque that has contributed to open and cordial communication among people. Therefore, we truly hope that evil people will no longer have the opportunity to realize their dark intentions.

I hope that we will all stand in their way together," emphasized the Reisul-ulema Husein-ef Kavazović.

On the day when this mosque was officially opened and put to use,
the Reisul-ulema pointed out that the more active it is, the more life it has, the more beautiful and noble this city will be, and life in it better and sweeter.

"Do not let it be a stranger in its own city. And it will be a stranger if the people
of this place do not visit it, respect it, and take care of it. Because, our tradition says that three are strangers: the Quran in a house from which it is not read, a mosque in a neighborhood where prayers are not performed, and a good and pious person in a corrupt society. Therefore, let this mosque not be a stranger.

Let the sobs of penitents be heard in its space and the voices of those who praise God Almighty. And the voices of children who will grow up in its embrace and become great people. And let upright believers gather in it and discuss what is most important to do for the good of man, the good of this city, and the good of the entire country.

I invite all good people of Bijeljina to join them in this and to unite forces. Regardless of religious or any other affiliation. This is how we will be able to achieve great goals - for the good of all," he emphasized.

On this occasion, he pointed out one feature. Namely, several authentic
hadiths state that whoever builds a mosque in this world will have a house built for them in paradise by Allah.

"Building a mosque is among the best deeds of goodness and charity, and Allah has promised a great reward for it. It is that lasting charity from which a person receives rewards even after death. In this case, those who participated in the construction of this mosque will have - if their intention was pure - another reward: namely, they helped the original builder, Ahmed-aga Krpić, to bring his endowment back to life and continue to ensure his rewards. Because, as our Prophet, peace be upon him, taught us, whoever merely points someone to a good deed will have the same reward as the one who does that good deed, without diminishing the reward of the latter.

What then can be said for those who help another, purify their sources of rewards and ensure their flow?" said the Reisul-ulema.

He reminded that rewards flow to a person as long as the charity they left behind in this world lasts.

"Therefore, everyone who participated in the reconstruction of this mosque can
hope for a double reward. I congratulate all of you, and especially the residents of this city, on this gift. I pray to God Almighty to bless this mosque and grant it prosperity, so that it may be a joy for all and contribute to the beauty and enjoyment of life for everyone. May God Almighty accept the efforts and gifts of those who helped renovate this destroyed house of God. God, protect this house of Yours and grant it a long life," said the Reisul-ulema Husein-ef. Kavazović in Bijeljina.
