Reisul-ulema Kavazović met with Bosniak Waqifs working and living in Austria

(Patria) - Organized by the Islamic Community of Bosniaks in Austria (IZBA), a dinner and meeting was held in Vienna tonight between the Reisul-ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein-ef. Kavazović, and the most significant Bosniak waqifs working and living in Austria.

More than 60 guests from all parts of Austria attended the dinner, including the chief imam and president of the Islamic Community of Bosniaks in Austria (IZBA), Senad-ef. Kusur, and Adis Čandić, as well as a member of the Council of the Islamic Community of Austria, Hasudin-ef. Atanović.

Also present at the meeting were members of the Rijaset of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Muhamed Jusić and Mensur Karadža, head of the Reisul-ulema's Office, Rifat Fetić, and the Honorary Consul of BiH in Austria, Sead Novkinić.

In his address, Reisul-ulema Kavazović expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and fellowship in Vienna, stating that his visit to the Islamic Community of Bosniaks in Austria (IZBA) bore witness to the strength of the communities, which form the foundation of the Community.

- I am pleased to be here tonight and to have had the opportunity to visit one of our communities, which are certainly the foundation of our Community. We were in the "Bošnjak" community in Graz, and this is the second event I am attending tonight. Thank you to all of you who came to meet.

I have had the opportunity to meet some of you before, to see you, and I am probably meeting some for the first time, but as Reisul-ulema, I am happy that we have such a strong community of Bosniak Muslims here in Austria.

Today, I was truly a witness to our national strength embodied through our well-functioning communities. You are one of the pillars of these communities, - the Reisul-ulema told the present waqifs.

On this occasion, he recalled a saying, a great truth, as he specified, that the ulema has always spoken.

- They said that a nation rests on three important pillars: a just ruler, or just governance, sincere and dedicated ulema, and what is important, essential for every community, are wealthy individuals who are aware of their Community and invest in it, or, we can say, the benevolence of wealthy people in the Community, - said Reisul-ulema Kavazović, who, on behalf of the Islamic Community in BiH, thanked the waqifs for their contribution to the Community through their work, effort, and sacrifice.

Chief Imam Senad-ef. Kusur reminded that the Islamic Community of Bosniaks in Austria was founded 29 years ago, and that 44 communities operate within its framework, which, as he said, is a testament to dedicated work.

- It is a pleasure to see you all here tonight at this gathering and to have the opportunity to thank you for all that you have done so far for the benefit of our communities, and thus for the benefit and progress of our Islamic Community of Bosniaks in Austria.

Many of our communities are older than our umbrella organization because they were formed because people like you recognized the need for a community, organized themselves, without waiting for someone to bring them a ready-made solution. They sought solutions and, thank God, succeeded.

Today, we proudly look at our Islamic Community of Bosniaks in Austria as a respectable institution that unites our 44 units, our 44 communities across Austria within one structure, - stated ef. Kusur.

He particularly emphasized that in 29 years, the Islamic Community of Bosniaks in Austria has managed to achieve enviable and valuable endowments through its work in the communities.

- We can proudly say that more than 75 percent of our communities already have complete endowment infrastructure. We can be happy that these 29 years have not passed in vain; we did not wander and search for solutions, but we knew how.

A bright future lies before us, God willing, but also the responsibility to strengthen institutionally, to build and develop our Islamic Community of Bosniaks in Austria, so that we can withstand the challenges of the times and cope with the needs that the future brings.

We are all gathered here as the Islamic Community, and therefore I believe that, just as we have built our communities so far, we will continue to build with the same enthusiasm, with the same dedication in the years to come, and along with them, develop IZBA, - stated efendija Kusur.

Adić Čandić, president of the Islamic Community of Bosniaks in Austria, thanked the Reisul-ulema for attending, saying that it was an opportunity for fellowship, getting to know each other, and exchanging experiences, but also an opportunity to strengthen unity and the Community.

- Because unity, cooperation, and mutual support are the key factors for our success and the success of our community and Bosniak identity. Thank you for your selfless support of our communities, and I am not only referring to investments in infrastructure or projects, but also to your social responsibility that you demonstrate by investing in the future of our community and the generations that will come after us.

I pray to God Almighty to strengthen us in our unity and for this gathering to be an inspiration for all of us to continue, - said Čandić.

Tomorrow, Reisul-ulema Kavazović is scheduled to visit the Tulln community, where he will attend the formal awarding of muraselas to imams and mualims and the approval of the presidents of the executive boards of the communities.

He is also scheduled to visit the Ebu Hanife community, where he will address the community members.
