Reisul-ulema Kavazović: Being a Muslim means standing up for rights and justice

(Patria) - Reisul-ulema of the Islamic Community in BiH Husein-ef. Kavazović held a sermon today in the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque on the occasion of the upcoming Mawlid, the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, which will be celebrated on September 4th.

– Allah sent the Prophet to remind people of divine transcendence and human community. If God is the only creator of the world and if humanity is one, then Muhammad, peace be upon him, addresses all of humanity – said Kavazović.

He emphasized that the mission of Muhammad, peace be upon him, was to establish a just order in the community and that a Muslim cannot be indifferent to injustice.

– Being a Muslim means steadfastly standing up for rights and justice and striving to establish everyone's rights. This was the main goal of Muhammad's prophethood, peace be upon him, and this should be the meaning of our faith – said the Reisul-ulema.

He reminded that the Muslim community weakened when faith was reduced only to rituals, and the active struggle in God's way was forgotten, and emphasized the importance of knowledge, upbringing, and education as the foundation for strengthening the community.
