Reis Kavazović: The strength, courage and dedication of the Muhić family are an example of perseverance and human dignity

(Patria) - Reisul-ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein-ef. Kavazović, visited Goražde today, where he was ceremonially welcomed in the courtyard of the Kajserija Mosque.

The meeting was also attended by the Director of the Department for Religious Affairs of the Riyasat of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, hafiz Dr. Mensur-ef. Malkić, who led the noon prayer.

After the welcome, the reisul-ulema visited the family of Muharem and Advija Muhić. They are a heroic family who adopted Alen Muhić, born during the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina, as a child of the committed crime of rape.



On this occasion, the Reis emphasized the importance of supporting all families who have survived the horrors of war in any way, stressing that the Islamic Community will never forget their suffering and strength.

He expressed respect and support for the Muhić family, emphasizing that their strength, courage and dedication are an example of perseverance and human dignity.

- Unfortunately, this is a truly sad story, but thank God for the good outcome, which is the most important thing. On behalf of the Islamic Community, I want to thank the Muhić family for doing a great deed, that is, one for which we know what the Qur'an says: Whoever saves one life, it is as if he has saved all of humanity.

In this case, humanity has indeed been saved. Since 1992, the Islamic Community has done what it had to do, which is to issue a fatwa that children conceived from violence are children who should be accepted and given everything that can be given.

First of all, I am thinking of the state, but thank God that there were Muslims and families like this Muharem family who did it. In that name, I want to thank Muharem and his wife on behalf of the Islamic Community and let this be a lesson to everyone - said reisul-ulema Kavazović.



He added that crimes occur all over the world, and that we must do what is within our power.

- Even today in the world, violence occurs, including sexual violence against helpless women, but we need to know that we must provide them with all possible protection and do what we can as human beings to save every life, regardless of how it was conceived.

Life must be preserved, it must be saved, and that is something we as Muslims must first and foremost persevere in. We see that today, of course, from good hearts like Muharem's heart and the heart of his wife - emphasized Reis Kavazović.

Muharem Muhić also spoke about the significance of this visit and the support of the Islamic Community.

- This visit means a lot to me. Whoever I told, they can't believe that the reisul-ulema will come here to our street, and with disbelief, whoever you tell, they don't believe it. We are proud that the Islamic Community does not forget us. All of this is Alen's merit, and everything I did, I did with halal - said Muharem Muhić.



Alen is also happy with today's visit.

- It is very important for me to emphasize that I am happy about today's visit by Reis Kavazović. After all, he showed honor and respect towards the Muhić family. I think this is the least my family deserves, especially Muharem and Advija - said Alen Muhić.

After the visit to the Muhić family, the reisul-ulema headed to Ustikolina, where he led the ceremony of awarding muraselas to imams and religious education teachers from the area of the Goražde Muftiship at the Turhan Emin-beg Mosque.
