Reis Kavazović informed Oman representatives about the orchestrated Islamophobic campaign against Bosniaks and BiH

(Patria) - Reisul-ulema of the Islamic Community in BiH Husein-ef. Kavazović met today in Muscat with the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al-Harithi.

The Reisul-ulema informed the host about the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially about the orchestrated Islamophobic campaign being waged against Bosniaks and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He also emphasized the importance of preserving peace and stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina and stopping the narrative of the so-called clash of civilizations.

He pointed out that mass crimes in the nineties were preceded by similar hate speech against Muslims, which ultimately led to the crime of genocide against Bosniaks.



On this occasion, the Reisul-ulema thanked the Sultanate of Oman and Haitham bin Tariq for the understanding they show towards Bosnia and Herzegovina and the determination of the Sultanate's authorities to strengthen cooperation with the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He emphasized that the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina is particularly interested in strengthening cooperation with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, the Office of the Grand Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman, and other religious, cultural, and educational institutions.

The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saud Al-Saibi, Secretary General of the Office of the Grand Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman, and members of the Rijaset delegation accompanying the Reisul-ulema.
