Referent in the Cantonal Tax Office Nurfet Kišmetović Arrested for Bribery

(Patria) - Investigators of the Ministry of Interior of the Sarajevo Canton, acting on the order of the acting prosecutor of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, arrested Nurfet Kišmetović, senior independent referent for public revenues at the Novo Sarajevo Tax Office - Cantonal Tax Office Sarajevo.

Kišmetović is suspected of the criminal offense of accepting gifts or other forms of benefits, which he committed together with Senjin Radoović, who was recently arrested while taking a bribe.

Radoović is suspected that, as the chairman of the Commission for Property Valuation in the Novo Sarajevo Municipality, he independently prepared valuation reports without the signatures of other commission members, and in other cases used pre-signed forms for preparing reports on property value that do not correspond to the actual market value of the property.

Nurfet Kišmetović, according to a prior agreement with Radoović, is suspected of accepting such reports as correct and based on them issuing decisions on determining taxes in an amount lower than the actual one.

The received money was kept by Radoović for himself or, in certain cases when they acted together, they divided the money among themselves in pre-agreed amounts.

The suspect is undergoing criminal processing at the Ministry of Interior of the Sarajevo Canton, after which he will be handed over to the jurisdiction of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, while Radoović has been in custody since earlier.
