
(Patria) - Following a devastating earthquake of magnitude 7.8 in the Philippines, at least three people have died and four have been injured, according to information from the Philippine police.
There were no immediate details on the reported fatalities, Reuters states, but footage released so far shows significant material damage and collapsed buildings. Tsunami warnings were issued after the earthquake struck Mindanao in the southern Philippines.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km, the GFZ reported. Geophysical agencies in the Philippines and neighboring Indonesia issued tsunami warnings.
